An Explanation text is a piece of non-fiction writing explaining an action process or event in a detailed but simple way. It features numbered points, time connectives, pictures, diagrams, labels and captions to help the receiver understand the process of what's being delivered. An explanation text tells your audience how something works or why something happens. Explanations detail and logically describe the stages in a process, such as the water cycle, or how a steam engine works. Other examples could be how a law is made, or why we blink when we sneeze.

PART 3

The conclusion briefly restates the main points of the writing and makes sense of any results that were obtained. To write a good conclusion, you can keep these points in mind: Summarise the points made in the body of the text. Try to write these in a different way from how they were written in the body.
